The rigid stainless steel frame provides a stable, supportive platform suitable for evacuating patients with suspected spinal injuries. Torso and leg flaps wrap securely around the patient, while an adjustable head restraint, head pillow, and four colour-coded restraint straps (chest, thigh, and lower leg) ensure effective full-body immobilisation. Additional security is provided by an exterior V-shaped arm strap and a long foot-end strap in a figure-of-eight configuration, with six integrated carry handles offering multiple lifting and transport options for rescue teams.

Constructed from high-grade stainless steel and durable synthetic materials, the Res-Q-Mate is resistant to oil, water, grease, and petroleum products — easy to clean and resistant to rot and corrosion for use in harsh industrial and rescue environments.
